TimeScope offers a unique time travel experience of Kyoto through the use of your iPhone or iPad.

The immersive time travel experience of TimeScope showcases the Imperial Court Compound (Chodo-in) from ancient Kyoto's Heian Era. This expansive compound, centered around Senbon-dori and stretching from Nijo-dori in the south to the area around Marutamachi-dori in the north, served as the backdrop for enthronement ceremonies, marriage celebrations, and other significant events. Within this space stood the Great Hall of State (Daigoku-den), where key ceremonies took place, and the Court of Ministries (Chodo), comprising 12 buildings where public officials conducted state affairs.

Hold your iPhone in front of you to step into the world of TimeScope. As you immerse yourself, scenes of ancient Kyoto will unfold before you, prompting intriguing discoveries about this historical city.
